The Gadsden Hotel was first established in 1907, five years before Arizona got it’s statehood.
This 5 story, 160 room hotel has quite a Historic and ghostly history. The hotel is grand, yet inviting, to both the living and to those whom refuse to pass on.  It’s been a central place for people to meet up at for decades. Check out this hotel from the past and maybe visit with someone from the past also.
The original building burned to the ground in 1928 and was rebuilt in 1929. The only surviving structure from the original building was its marble staircase. Which is where the first part of this ghostly past begins. In 1923 Pancho Villa was assassinated,. but legend has it he rode up the stairs on his horse. Look closely at the 7th stair to find the chip he made from his ride. It is believed the hotel was rebuilt over his skull and he is searching for it.
Many guest have confessed to seeing figures in capes ,army fatigues, and even headless. Mostly around religious holidays. Sometimes it’s only a presence you feel but sometimes you will feel a tap on your shoulder or a tug at your leg.
The current owners Mr and Mrs Brekhus acquired the hotel in 1988 when it was in need of much repair. Their Daughter-in-law, Robin, had her first ghostly encounter during the night in 1991. She was getting supplies from the basement when a faceless figure shaped like a man “floated down the hall”. Robin manages the hotel today.

It is believed many souls have remained behind. Workers and guest have seen shadows of male figures around the hotel. Mostly confined to the basement area though. However there is one room if you dare, room 333. Lights turn on and off, doors lock and unlock, and you just might find things moved around when you awake.
